 LITERARY TERMS:

Flashback: Flashback is a literary device, an interjected scene into the chronological structure of a  narrative writing such as novel, story, motion picture, mega serial etc. Flashback is a device where memory is suddenly revisited. 'Flash' refers to memory and 'back' refers to past. So, 'Flashback' means recall memory from the past. In a nutshell, it refers to a scene in a film, novel etc. set in a time earlier than the main story.
